Hi there, I’m Leanne.

I’m a lover of bright, fresh, funky fabrics, and the proud owner of Sew Fab.

At Sew Fab we love colour and pattern. We stock vibrant, quirky, contemporary fabrics, always striving to bring you the best quality materials available. It feels like Christmas every time we get a new fabric delivery!

We’re committed to creating a fun, inspiring, creative space for sewers of all ages and levels of experience. In our Narrandera shop you’ll find lots of classes where you can learn a variety of techniques, have fun and make new friends.

We’d love to meet you, so whether you’re a local or travelling through town, stop in and say hello.

 

 

The Sew Fab Story

I’ve always loved fabric, sewing and all things creative.

It was a long-held dream to open my own sewing shop, but it wasn’t until I turned 50 that it became a reality. From humble beginnings operating three days a week in my shed, I fumbled my way through those first years. It was a challenge, but I was determined to make Sew Fab a success.

My mum and one of her friends kept the shop open extra days while I worked. After a while I  decided to leave my job and throw all my energy into the sewing shop.

I became the Bernina dealer for the local area and although I was an experienced sewer, I also attended lots of classes to build on my skills. When buying fabric, I followed my instincts. I listened to customer feedback and was determined to create a space where most sewing needs could be met without having to leave town.

Soon we outgrew the shed and moved into our shop in Narrandera’s main shopping precinct. What a wonderful decision! We had more room for stock, and a larger class space. We’ve never looked back.

Now with our online fabric store, we can share our passion for fabric and creativity with wonderful customers all over Australia.
